Saturday, July 02, 2005Canada Day rocked my socks! So, the pre-drinking started at around 6:30 with Gilly, Charles and moi, and continued until 9 or so when we left for the waterfront. I took some pics which are now up on my pictures page! The fireworks were spectacular! We got right up front (we totally pissed some people off, we muscled our way to the front of the pack) alas when we got up front there was a large fence so Charles popped me up on his shoulders for like 20 minutes (best bf ever)! Then it took us like 30 minutes to find our way out of the crowds, we thought about going in Peakes but the line up was INSANE! So Charles, Gill and I went to Victoria Park and acted like 4 year olds playing on the swings, games of tag, and then we ventured into the forest which was scary! Tonight, STAIND CONCERT! I’ve been listening to all their CD’s for the past week. I forgot how much I liked them. I am really excited for the concert, it’s going to be a blast. Woo hoo!
Tuesday, June 28, 2005I took Elle into the vet yesterday morning to get spayed. The vet called around lunchtime to tell me that Elle's surgery went fine and she's recovering but still groggy! She had to stay overnight and I felt horrible, anxious and sick all day thinking about her. I hated leaving her alone knowing she's in pain, but it's for the best. Spaying is considered a major abdominal surgery and she needs to be in a confined space for the first night in order to promote proper healing. She’s probably meowing up a storm, I swear I can almost hear her. If leaving her wasn’t bad enough, I came home to Simon who was searching all over the house for her! He scanned every room and made crazy meowing noises. I gave him lots of cuddles and attention because he missed Elle too. So I left Elle with her favorite teddy bear, hoping the smells would remind her of home. Charles and I are picking her at @ 10am today (as soon as the vets open!!) and taking her home! I am going to baby her, rock her and sing to her all day! I love her and miss her. I will update soon, perhaps with pictures of her little belly.
