Friday, June 24, 2005I am feeling a little crispy from being out in the sun all day, but I normally tan rather then burn, so I hope this redness turns brown! My dad's retirement dinner was fabulous. Five-course meal: clam appetizers, whole wheat biscuits, spinach and sweet pepper salad with a light sweet onion dressing. Followed by the main course, your choice of roast chicken or Atlantic salmon, I got the roast chicken served with potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, drizzled with a gravy sauce. Then for dessert Crème Brule with raspberry sauce on the side, which is now one of my new favorite desserts. Drinks were also on the house, I just had one vodka and sprite since I was driving. My dad decided to tell everyone at the table that I was a nutrition student at UPEI which provoked people to ask lots of questions about our meal! I went mini golfing with Charles on Friday, I lost, but it was a close game until I used up 15 strokes to sink the ball on the 14th hole! Then we spent a quiet night at home watching movies and eating ice cream, I wasn’t up for dancing since my foot is slowly recovering! This morning we went for a nice drive then to subway for breakfast. Then Charles and I went to my parents and lounged on the deck, Charles drank a few beers and I was the only one brave enough to go swimming, 20-degree water and 30 degree weather was warm enough for me! Then we headed home took the cats for a long walk then had people over for a BBQ on the deck. I had been up since 8am by this time so I went for a nap at 9:30-11pm, when I woke up and had to get ready for work I wasn’t pleased. Ahh well, I’m here, and feeling better! P.S- Here is a movie of Simon, if you leave the forest without waiting for him he comes running after you and will stop abruptly at your feet and let out a meow, every time! I don't care what anyone says I love harry potter books ! Anyone up for going to the beach tonight ? I was so sick for the past few days, each time I swallow it hurts so bad..I also had a horrible headache that just went away today for the first time in 3 whole days ! On a brighter note, it's supposed to be 27 today, I want to laze around at the beach :) Monday, June 21, 2004 It’s gorgeous outside today! 21, sunny, and beautiful :) Charles and I went for a long walk in Victoria Park early this afternoon, I love the outdoors! Victoria Park is actually where we first met, and If I remember correctly you chased me around with a stick one night after one of Bobby’s parties. That was quite the party, I had to carry Jeff Clow down a flight of stairs after he had wayyy too much to drink, then me and tyler had to drop Jeff off at his parent’s house and carry him to the door :S Poor Jeffy had to work open the next morning at McDee’s and he passed out in the backroom for the whole day ! lol, Good times :) I was in a bad mood earlier today because I work Canada day and am getting a bit stressed from working 6 days a week. I am off at 12am on C-day night so I guess I will have to party after work, no fireworks for me. I don’t work the next morning which is a little consolation. I had a waffle cone from the shop at Vic Park and played on the swings and slides which cheered me up. I got a call from work after I got back from the outing, James and Court had to jet out for appointments so I came in early 2:30-12. I would do anything for those two. Due to the circumstances I couldn’t get into the gym today, but I should be taking a day off anyways..I still don't want to :( I have a really nice salad I made for lunch, I can't wait to eat !! ******************* I always find it really amusing to read old posts and see what was happening this time last year and so on This year I don't work Canada Day or the day after! I asked for both off because I bought tickets to see Staind and Three Doors Down! I hope the fireworks this year rock! Sunday, June 19, 2005So I’ve been on blogger hiatus again.. This time it wasn’t my fault! Our computer decided to take a vacation after we installed a new hard drive, hopefully it will be back up and running ASAP! Recap.. lets see.. I had the past few days off which was nice, I was pretty sick for most of the mornings though, backshifts really mess your sleeping habits up. I should stay awake at night and sleep during the day on my days off but I love sleeping in bed with Charles so I said screw that and then I got sick, go figure. My foot it slowly healing, it’s still sore. I am fine if I don’t have to wear shoes, but when I do it kills! The swelling has gone down and the bruises are fading, yay for that! Last night I had the girls over to my place for a little part-ay! We had fun as usual, didn’t quite make it to Peakes, next weekend maybe! I usually only drink on Fridays but it’s been catching up with me lately, I never drink too much, it's just my body can’t handle it. This morning I woke up with the mother of all migraines. Due to past eye surgery I have had HORRIBLE migraines before. This migraine was far worse then any I have ever had and that’s saying something. I only had 3 coolers to drink so it wasn’t so much that I was hung over, but my sinuses were filled and I think that had a lot to do with it. Charles rushed out and bought me some gel caps for migraines and held me for an hour while I practically convulsed in pain. Then the pain started to fade, it was really scary, I thought I would have to go to the hospital. In lue of that incident I think I will be the DD for a while, I don’t need liquor to have fun, maybe in the past, but not now. Tomorrow it’s a family reunion at my parent’s house, my sis and I went halfsies on a present for dad, it’s a singing frog, it sounds stupid but he’ll love it, as well as a few other odds and ends. Annnnd one of my friends from the cat forums made me this signature for the forums! How nice is that?? Btw- "Smeezes" is my nickanme for the kitty's, being siamese and all it fits! P.S- Simon has a new crush, her name is bria!
