Sunday, March 06, 2005Eventful week/weekend… Wednesday- Went out for Chinese then to Rum Runners for lovely dessert with Court, Jules and Angie. Friday – Got food poisoning from orange juice, blech :( Saturday- Took care of Charles who was still sick.. Sunday- Took care of Charles again/ Went to work… Thankfully I am fully recovered and Charles is on the mend, he had a bad cold aside from the food poisoning which made everything worse. In the 3 years we’ve been dating he’s never, ever been THIS sick. It was scary, but I realized that I am a lot like my mother when it comes to taking care of people when they are sick, I guess I have her to thank for that. I did manage to get some school work done, I wrote a microbiology report on my virus of choice which was FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). I choose it because at the animal shelter they test for FIV, and if the cat tests positive they have to put the cat to sleep, I wish there was more we could do for them, but with no cure in sight their prognosis is often slim. It’s a really important virus due to it’s similarities with the human AIDS virus. I also figured out my unknown bacteria for microbiology and started writing up my report. I have Proteus. mirabilis… it sounds so complicated… basically it’s just a bacteria that causes bladder infection. Note to self- wash hands thoroughly after handling :P Annnd, I finished a dreadful ecology tutorial report. Thankfully it’s finished and printed off! This Bio minor is turning out to be hard work! Ahh well, it’ll be worth it in the end! Anywho, I have to do pilates then wind down for the evening while watching desperate housewives, I had about 0.3 hours of sleep last night :S Ayez une bonne nuit !
