Friday, February 18, 2005Another day another dolla! ABOUT THE ANIMAL RESCUE SITE The Animal Rescue Site focuses the power of the Internet on a specific need -- providing food for some of the 27 million unwanted animals given to shelters in the US every year. Over 10 million animals are put to death every year in the US alone because they are unwanted, abandoned, or abused. Each click on the purple "Feed an Animal in Need" button at The Animal Rescue Site provides food for an animal at North Shore Animal League America or at one of the Fund For Animals' world renowned animal sanctuaries, including the Black Beauty Ranch in Texas and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in California. Funding for food is paid by site sponsors, whose banners appear after you click the purple button, and goes to our aforementioned charity partners. The number of animals helped by the site depends on the number of visitors to The Animal Rescue Site. Please click every day, and encourage friends and family members to do so as well. Click here to learn more about it. As well, there are links off that site to breast cancer, rainforest, literacy sites that could also use support. It's a US organization, but the animals still need your help. I can’t turn my back on animals, never could, never will. You shouldn't either.
Tuesday, February 15, 2005Happy belated Valentines Day everyone! Yesterday Charles and I went to the Gahan house for lunch, the original plan was to go out for Chinese but we heard that the steak was really good so we decided to try it out. I was horribly disappointed, the meal was less than satisfactory, the steak was no bigger than half a card (13$!!!!!! per meal), and the French fries weren’t even crisp, not to mention the waitress was no where to be found when we ran out of our beverages, ahh well, I guess you pay extra for the atmosphere of eating in a “classy” restaurant, but really it wasn’t even that classy, and we won’t be going back any time soon. We then came home, relaxed, and I got a wonderful present.. a slide-show of pictures/comments with a lovely valentines background shown on our TV with music playing.. all I can say is I love you Charles, you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me :) Then we watched The Notebook, which I LOVED. I was totally engrossed with the story, the emotions that came up were amazing. I cried for at least 30 minutes once the movie was over. It really makes you realize that no matter what people say, when you find the love of your life, never, ever let them go. Cute eh? Go here to make your own doll!
