Another year has come and gone! 2005 here I come!

There are lots of things that happened this year that I am proud of, but I would have to say excelling in school is at the top of my list. When I started UPEI in 2000, I had no ambition, goals, or motivation and barley passed. Now I’m getting 80-90’s and that has really boosted my self-esteem. Don’t be scared to try something new or try something that scares you or frightens you, it’s those feelings that let you know what you’re doing is worthwhile.

I paid off my car this year, which is a great feeling! Now all I pay is insurance and thankfully my insurance went down 800$ this year! Next big purchase is brother or sister for Simon, which will be in spring when the litter is due.

We bought Simon a cat house!!! It’s really cute and he loves it! It’s covered in carpet (catnip treated carpet). He loves jumping on it and scratching it! I want to get him another huge one but we don’t have the money right now.

It’s only a few more days until school starts, I’m excited about getting into a routine again and learning new information but at the same time the feelings of nervousness about the unknown are starting to surface.

Charles and I will be both attending UPEI, which I am really excited about. This semester is shaping up to be great for the both of us.

Last night was my Aunt Nancy’s New Years party which went pretty well, I drank a bit too much, but I didn’t feel it until I got home, so that was good. I have some pics that I will post later from the party!

I just love the Christmas season, I wish we could make it last all year round…

Christmas - that magic blanket that wraps itself about us, that something so intangible that it is like a fragrance. It may weave a spell of nostalgia. Christmas may be a day of feasting, or of prayer, but always it will be a day of remembrance - a day in which we think of everything we have ever loved. ~Augusta E. Rundel
