Christmas is only 3 sleeps away!

I got most of my shopping finished on Monday, the stores were packed, but I still enjoy the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping!

John Kyle, Charles and I went out for supper at Swiss Chalet on Monday and got
the festive meal with 5 lindor chocolates mmmmmmmmm!! I swear nothing beats the
festive meal !

Instead of buying presents for each other, Charles and I bought 5 kongs (dog toys), some more chew toys, and cat toys for the animals at the shelter, I can't wait to surprise them on Christmas eve! We are going to put peanut butter in the kongs and the dogs absolutely love it! They are veterinarian recommended for stress release, which the dogs need since they are cooped up.

Yesterday at the animal shelter we..

* Walked all the dogs on the adoption floor and some from out back (waiting to
move to the adoption floor) It's so much fun to take the dogs into the dog park and let them run around!

* I walked an apparently "aggressive" dog from out back and she was the gentlest dog I have ever met, she kept standing up on her hind legs and giving me hugs, it was the cutest thing ever, and when I put her paws back on the ground she wanted another hug and snuggle! Too cute!

* Socialized some cats

* Cleaned a crazy rabbit's cage

* Ate some donated fudge *edit* err ate lots of donated fudge ;)

* Gave the dogs some healthy animal cookies/bones

LOTS of animals are getting adopted which is awesome, there are still lots left though, especially cats! It feels really great to be getting away from the materialistic aspects of Christmas and focus on animals /people that need help and assistance, I have matured a whole lot since my days of living at home and mooching off my parents.

Today we bought Simon some catnip, and we put some of it in a pillowcase so he could roll around on it, I didn’t think it would affect him but an hour later he was stoned! Haha, it was hilarious, I can’t wait to put up some pictures.

I work 4-12 for the next two nights and can't wait for Christmas Eve with my
family! The kids are very excited and I can’t wait to give all the animals their presents!

Anywho, I better get back to work!

I am soooooooo HAPPY!! By the grace of the god, or more likely the bell curve, I PASSED organic chemistry! I horribly failed the final, I know I could have done better (if I studied) but alas I am still extremely excited! I danced around my apartment like a crazy woman for 20 minutes this morning!! haha

Aside from Chemistry, my other marks are great, hard work definitely paid off! I am really pleased with my nutrition mark seeing as how I did horrible on the second midterm, I must have aced the final.

CHEM 243 Organic Chemistry for Life Sciences 54
F-N 111 Introductory Foods 80
F-N 211 Introductory Nutrition I 83
F-N 221 Family Resource Management 91
F-N 261 Communications 92

At the start of September I was so scared about this semester, I was nervous about the huge oral presentation that we had to do in communications, as well as Organic Chemistry since I hadn't taken a Chem. course in 4 years. With all the volunteer work and actual work at Resolve I didn't think I could keep up the grades, but now I learned that it's all about how you manage your time, the more things you have to do the less you can procrastinate ;)

Hope everyone was pleased with their marks!! Merry Christmas!! Yee Hawwww
