Thursday, December 16, 2004Exams are over :D! I wrote my last exam on Tuesday, which went really well. I barley studied for it and it was still my best exam, err at least I think it was. After the exam I went to the humane society to walk some dogs, and feed some cats! Last weekend was "get your pets picture taken with Santa" which went really well. We paid for two of the animals on the adoption floor that had been there for a while to get their pic taken with Santa (Ziggy the cat, and Maverick the dog). We put the pics on their cage so hopefully someone will take notice of how adorable they are and give them a safe loving home. A few of the dogs got adopted! Buster, who reminds me of Santa's little helper from Simpson's lol, Echo a black lab, Ginger a pit bull mix, ANNND last but not least REX! Who has been there for so long and finally found an awesome home! There's a new store open on 318 Queen st. called the Cool Dog Deli, the shelter manager gave Charles and I some coupons for it, we don't have a dog so we'll bring some goodies back for the animals on christmas day! They sell humus, brownies, cheesecake and sticky buns all catered for dogs, and they're actually healthy! I was flipping through the TV channels last night and came across a story about a kitten from PEI whom was found this month after he clawed his way out of a vacuum bag after being left for dead in the trash. He was half frozen and near death when a stranger found him and thankfully saved his life. Please, if you know anyone that wants to get rid of their animal and plans on harming it, for god’s sake take it to the humane society. There are many people out there that are responsible pet owners and would love and respect the animal. In school related news marks are back on Monday the 20th, I really, really hope I passed organic chemistry. Next semester is shaping up to be challenging: BIO 122 Human Physiology M 040 M, W & F 9:30-10:20 BIO 122 BIO 122 Lab section T 12:30 - 3:00 BIO 206 Microbial Diversity D 121 T & TH 5:00 - 6:15 BIO 206 BIO 206 Lab section TH 1:30 - 4:30 BIO 222 General Ecology K 237 M, W & F 8:30-9:20 BIO 222 BIO 222 Tutorial M 311 M 12:00-1:00 F-N 212 Introductory Nutrition II DA 301 M, W & F 10:30-11:20 Three bio courses and one nutrition course! Apparently Microbio is the second hardest course at UPEI, which worries me. Ahhh well, It's required for a Nutrition major so I guess I have to suck it up and get through it. I am really excited about Ecology which I need for my Bio minor. I got my schedule for xmas break, I work 30 hours per week until school starts which is awesome since I am BROKE! I have xmas eve off, I work xmas day 4-12 and boxing day 8-4. Unfortunately, I work New Years Eve AGAIN! I worked it last year too. I only work until 12am and I have the next morning off which will be okay. In other work related news Resolve no longer has a dress code, that’s right, it’s about time! All casual all the time :D This Saturday is Kim's wedding! woo hoo
