Great week so far :D

On Wednesday Angie and I went shopping and got ice cream at DQ. I splurged and bought a new winter coat, I know I shouldn't have, but it was the exact jacket I have been looking for and since it's not winter yet it was on sale for 75$! It's really soft with something similar to lambs wool on the inside and really soft on the outside, very warm!

I went swimming at my parents on Thursday and they told me that they would give me $2000 towards my tuition because they were so happy and proud that I got good marks last semester and that I finally found something I was interested in :O:O Charles is still on strike with Aliant, so I couldn't save much money this summer. I love my parents, I'm both ecstatic and relieved. It will really help me out because my books are going to cost me an arm and a leg :S

I also met Angie's cat Winston, who is very cute! He has HUGE paws because he has extra toes, Adorable :D Then we went to Courtney's friends house for a little while then headed home. On Friday Julie, Angie and I went to see Little Black Book, which was a good chick flick, without giving the ending away, I would just like to give thanks that not all guys are cheaters! I also saw The Bourne Supremacy, which was an exciting action-packed flick, much better than The Bourne Identity. Next week I want to see Collateral Damage with Tom Cruise and The Notebook.

Today it’s back to work! Things are fairly slow which is good, hopefully it will stay this way.

Have a good Saturday night everyone :):)

3 posts in 3 days, wow, I'm keeping on track :P

What a gorgeous day!! Too beautiful to be inside working, but I can't do much about it. I have Wed, Thurs, and Friday off so I will definitely be going to the beach or swimming somewhere!

I am still full from last night's Chinese food, I think I ate enough for an army, it's like can't get enough of it. Then I got up this morning and went to volunteer @ the soup kitchen then headed to the AFC to make my triumphant return!! I am trying to think of a healthy snack food to make for the people at the soup kitchen next Monday. I thought of making 40 Strawberry short cakes, which sounds appetizing but isn't very nutritious. I'll have to brainstorm a bit more. Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

dos à travail !!

Yesterday was a pretty good day, my sister and I went to our parent’s house for a swim with the kids, it was very relaxing and I got a nice tan! Then in the evening it was off to blooming point for TOGA! Tonns of people showed up and I caught up with old friends which was nice. I have lots of pics to upload today from Rainbow Valley and Toga, I’ll have to get at it when I am off work.

While driving to Toga I had one of the worst experiences of my entire life. It was utterly horrific. While driving on blooming point road I encountered what I thought was a paper bag blowing in the road, it was tossing and turning and rolling all over the road but as we got closer I realized it wasn’t a paper bag and almost had a heart attack. It was a raccoon who had been mangled by a car and was flailing his one functional arm in the air. He was missing limbs and a tail, it was a gruesome sight. There was no way he was going to survive so I did the only thing I could do, and the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I am starting to tear up just writing this, but we had to run him over. It was the only humane thing to do since he was so mangled, I would have liked to take him to the Vet but he was too far gone and I knew that, but it was still horrible. I cried for a while and was really upset, but I am glad I was there in that moment to at least put him out of his misery. My mood at Toga was pretty glum under the circumstances, but I did have some good conversations with people so it turned out reasonable. I am still pretty upset about the whole thing, but accidents happen and I just have to move on.

Hope everyone had a fun night and drove safe. Drive slowly on blooming point road in the future please. In broad daylight there really isn’t an excuse for hitting an animal on a deserted road unless you’re speeding or not paying attention. :(
