Saturday, May 29, 2004The past few days were tough on me because I worked the backshift, which I am not used to doing. I only had about 1 hour sleep before I had to work the first night.. needless to say I was a zombie :| Thankfully last night I got lots of rest and a nice massage which made the night fly by. Next week I asked to work 45 hours because I need the money to buy summer clothes and a new bathing suit! I will be working 8-4's and 4-12's.. No more backshifts!! yay Chuck's gone to a Matt Good concert in Halifax with the boys so me and Simon have the house alllll to ourselves for the weekend, not to mention the bed to ourselves!! I have to work at 8am tomorrow so I'm taking it easy tonight. I went to the gym this evening and now I plan on curling up with my heating blanket and Simon to watch some tv. That's it! Wednesday, May 26, 2004Well last night was awesome!! Julie WON the karaoke contest and got 500$!!!! James came in 4th and got 100$ :) The karaoke contest was 3 weeks long and the final was last night. It started at 11:30am (I have no idea why it was so late) and ended at 3:30am because there were 25 contestants!! It was a really long night but the owner of Velvet Underground gave me and all the girls I was with FREE drinks!! I had about 7 drinks and 2 shots.. ALL FREE!! In return we let him take our pics and he'll probably put them up on the bar's website.. but oh well ;) I slept in today due to the excessive drinking that was done last night lol, thankfully today was my day off from work. Well I am pooped from the gym so I am going to rest!
Sunday, May 23, 2004Blech! I worked until 12am last night, didn't get to sleep until 2:30am and I had to be at work for 8am :( Needless to say I am extremely smeeeppy right now. I need a coffee. Hummmm.. maybe I should go buy one, sounds like a plan :) I just realized that the stupid gym will be closed by the time I am off so I think I will have to go for a walk/run or perhaps pilates is in order. I guess it's good to mix things up anyways. IMPORTANT - Velvet Underground is having a 3 week karaoke contest (500$ 1st place, 200 2nd, 100 3rd) my friends Julie and James are both singing so everyone should go on Tuesday to watch and support! This Tuesday is the final !! I plan on being very drunk as I don't work on wednesday!! yee haww P.S. THIS is my favorite website. One day soon, perhaps christmas?? I will have a Birman of my own. Simon needs a brother :) There is a sale on at the Humane Society for Cats.. Everyone should buy a pair and give them a loving home :) Time for a coffee...
