Thursday, December 11, 2003My days of sleeping at work, playing online games, and talking the night away with the girls soon will be coming to an end. That's right, we got the word today that MSN is not extending our contract, they are planning on hiring all new guides, guides that speak a multitude of languages, which of course we do not. So, we're all fairly bummed :( As boring as my job is, it's better then being on the phones. On a brighter note, I start school soon! Which means the new job won't matter much since I won't be working full time. I guess we're going to a temporary program for a month, then Watts is getting a new Graphic Design program which sounds really interesting, and we all get first crack at those positions, I'm confident eveything will work out. Speaking of school, it's less then a month away. The past few days have been really emotionally draining, I almost wasn't going to start school in January, but I worked a few quirks out and soon I will be on my way to getting a Nutrition Degree or a Family Science Degree, not sure which yet, I'll have to see how my semesters plan out. Tomorrow I am treating myself and Chuck to the festive dinner at Swiss Chalet, yumm I can't wait for Lindor chocolates! Christmas is only 2 weeks away, definitely time to get the real Christmas tree up! Ohh yeah, if you mouse over the Santa picture at the top of my page he winks !!! hehehe
Monday, December 08, 2003what a stormy stormy night ! Yeah, so I got stuck in a snow drift just after dropping Charles off at work, 8 guys tried to get me out, but to no avail. So.. Shaws came and pulled me out for the hefty price of 45.00$ I am broke, and I definitely didn't need to spend money on a tow truck, but oh well shit happens. Three other people got stuck around watts too, one of my supervisors James got stuck just after they called the plows off the road, so he's been at work since 8am and won't be leaving until after 2am if he's lucky. Now that's shitty. I am supposed to be at work... buuuuut my supervisor is letting me and Julie work from home.. hehehe, so now I will be doing even less work then usual. Relaxing on the couch watching tv and movies with Simon, Ahh the good life:) We have a sound that beeps if a user joins the helpdesk, so we're all set. Hopefully it will storm tomorrow and I can work from home again! This storm is also good news for UPEI students writing exams!! More cramming time :) Anywho, Extra is on, Drive safe everyone!!!!!!
Sunday, December 07, 2003It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... Thanks to everyone who showed up last night, I hope you all had a great time, I know did. I drank wayyy too much punch,raspberry vodka, and raspberry smoothies :S Ohhhh and thanks for the whiskey Brad, it gave me a really nice hang over in the morning :P Much appreciated! Simon went crazy! He acted like a drunk cat. If I didn't know any better I would think he got into the punch, umm actually ... I caught him drinking from the punch bowl at the end of the night! I am a bad mother !! He did warm up to Andrew on the couch, lots of pics were taken. For anyone that didn't come, you missed a great party! Hopefully last night was the start of an annual Christmas party at our apartment :) I put some pics up for everyone to enjoy, thanks to Taylor for taking some great photo's!. I did notice however, that a lot of the pictures were of Andrew... he must be the most photogenic of the bunch :) Off to work.. *cough*.. sleep
