Saturday, September 27, 2003Today has been by far one of the BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE !!! I FINALLY GOT MY KITTY!!! Yayyyyyy! For our 2nd year anniversary Charles bought me a purebred Seal Point Siamese Kitten!!!! That's right! I finally have a cat!! He is ADORABLE, only 14 weeks old with gorgeous blue eyes!! I went to see him yesterday and fell in love with him. He was quite expensive so I didn't think getting him was an option, but Charles bought him for me today !!! Siamese are very affectionate and they Loooove to snuggle. He's so cute, whenever he hears a noise he hides behind my back and tries to snuggle his head in my arms :) Whenever I move he wants to follow me, and heÂ’s very playful !!!!!! He is sits on top of the printer and watches me as I type :P We went shopping for cat things today and I bought him a warm and snuggly cat bed, toys, water/food bowls, food, and litter/litter pan. I still have to get him a scratching post. When we get him neutered we will his claws clipped since they are really sharp. I Also bought a webcam, but it doesn't have the best picture quality so I think I am going to take it back and buy a digital cam. I took lots of pics if the Kitty with the webcam today, Enjoy! I also need a name for the Kitty... I was thinking Simon, anyone have any other ideas? :):):)
Thursday, September 25, 2003I have a crappy cold which has left me sleeping for the majority of the past two days..sleeping and working, how fun :S annnnd I haven't been able to go to the gym because I am coughing and sneezing all the time. hummpf. In other news, MSN Chat is becoming a paid subscription only service...which means the helpdesk we run is filled with 30+ users at a time.. when normally there are only 5 or less :| All the users are angry as hell and I can't really blame them. MSN wants to make more money and apparently there have been some news reports that kids are getting raped and abducted because they meet older men on chat, and then go meet them in person. So MSN is trying to make it safer.. you can only get a subscription if you have a credit card, so that weeds out most of the underage kids. However, MSN might have to cut some of our staffing :| there will be less traffic in the chat they expect...We are all hoping this doesn't happen.. but the way things are looking they are going to re-locate some people into other programs. I think I am safe but ya never know around here.
Monday, September 22, 2003Road tip to Halifax.... Well, It all started when Rob arrived at our house at 6:30am on Sat Morning. Me and chuck had 2 hours of sleep the night before because we are used to working the night shifts and we couldn't sleep. It only took us a little less then 3 hours to get from our house to Halifax.. Chuck drove 170 most of the way. We went straight to exhibition park where the concert was being held to get our bracelets and check out the scenery. Very few people were around, most people were just setting up. There was a station and they had exotic animals.. There were huge snakes and turtles.. And they had the biggest iguana I had ever seen!!! I thought it was a statue af first :P, They were feeding it strawberries !!! I wanted to take it home. Then we went to A&W. I got a baby burger meal.. and it was soooo good. I try to eat healthy.. But every once and a while I treat myself. Rob got a really yummy Greek salad with chicken on skewers and fries. We did a bit of shopping in the mall, I cut myself off from spending money on clothes. We stocked up on liquor, the boys bought canned beer and I bought something similar to broken down golf cart except it was blue. We then parked and walked downtown to see all the stores. I wanted to go to Kung Fu shirts, it took us FOREVER to find the place because it moved. Finally we found the place after we asked like 10 people where it was. I bought a cute strawberry shortcake t-shirt. It has dark blue tiny short selves, and then the rest of it is baby blue, matches my workout shorts! Rob bought a buddy holly shirt. The guy who owned the store was whacked out of his mind. He was either perma fried, or on some heavy drugs. Really nice guy though.. just very very weird. He told me to come back next week for Christmas shopping. :S right on buddy ! We wanted to find a cool place to drink since security pats you down when you go in the concert doors. We drove down a remote street.. long stretch of a road.. then there were huge rocks in the middle of the road..I guess it was used as a racing strip :S We parked then sat on some rocks in a wooded area, very very pretty location. We played "throw the rock" lol, which worked as a very good drinking game... we all got drunk. An Fire Truck scared the crap out of us when it drove down the tiny road..stopped.. turned around and then left.. Very weird. Then we were joined by some racing motorcycilists that were tearing up and down the strip. Then we drove 1 minute back to the concert. Good times at the concert... Chuck was drunk and tired, he ended up sleeping in the car for a bit while rob and I ate supper. He later woke up and joined the fun. I really liked Matt Mays, very good band.. Impressive. The Trews rocked out as well. We met up with Janelle and Taylor who got right up to the front row for all the music :) By this time I was dead tired and my feet were aching... so I went for a rest in the car... I woke up and felt really sick.. *barf* ahem.. then the fire works went off right above my head :) which scared the crap out of me because 5 car alarms went off, damn the fire works were loud. I layed back down in the car while Sloan was playing, they sounded really good=) Later on I was sober and started driving home... it was pouring rain.. So we had to stop every 20 minutes because we couldn't see the road. 6 FUCKING hours to get home !!!! Wayyyyy too long, thankfully chuck drove the last 3 hours while I slept. I was starting to see clowns and faces on the road because of the reflections of the water..so he took over the driving :S We arrived home. I was tired and cranky and wanted to brush my teeth. I slept for 16 hours today. Now for another night at work :)
